Responsibilities
- Design, model, and document logical and physical database architectures for enterprise applications
- Define database structures, schemas, and relationships to support application workflows
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and system architects to optimize data access and performance
- Evaluate and recommend database technologies and platform configurations
- Support data standardization, naming conventions, and metadata repository practices
- Ensure designs conform to security, backup, and recovery best practices
- Provide guidance on capacity planning, storage optimization, and transition strategies with legacy systems
- Document architectural decisions and maintain database design baselines
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or related technical discipline required
- Alternative: significant professional experience may substitute for formal degree per posted policy
