Skills
- Proven DevSecOps experience with modern toolchains
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Container orchestration and container security (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- CI/CD pipeline design, automation, and testing
- Secure coding practices, vulnerability scanning, and remediation
- Knowledge of microservices, APIs, service meshes, and event-driven systems
- Familiarity with federal security frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP) and NIST SP 800-53
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder influence
Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise DevSecOps strategy, tools, and pipelines
- Design, develop, and integrate security solutions across systems and SDLC
- Lead integration and implementation of system security solutions
- Perform risk analyses across system development lifecycle phases
- Integrate compliance controls and continuous compliance monitoring into pipelines
- Champion infrastructure as code, automated testing, CI/CD, and zero-trust designs
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, security, and operations
- Mentor and train junior DevSecOps engineers and technical teams
- Ensure solutions meet federal and agency-specific compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
- Associate’s degree + 4 years relevant experience accepted
- 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree
