About the Role
As a Credit Analyst at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in monitoring credit exposure, analyzing customer accounts, and driving proactive risk management strategies. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to support credit decisions and ensure timely collections. By partnering with Sales, Order Management, and other departments, you will help safeguard company assets while enabling customer growth and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, recommend credit limits, and maintain accurate reporting. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Zekelman Headquarters in Downtown Chicago.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts collection calls and customer visits to minimize bad debt risk and maximize Accounts Receivable collections.

• Performs daily account analysis to ensure compliance with contract credit terms.

• Monitors credit exposure and portfolio performance to proactively manage risks.

• Prepares and maintains weekly aging reports for internal stakeholders.

• Analyzes customer financial conditions to recommend and establish appropriate credit limits.

• Communicates credit policies and payment expectations to internal teams and customers.

• Provides order management and sales support to control credit exposure, resolve disputes, and ensure timely payments.

• Assists with the design, development, and implementation of new processes to automate controls and reporting.

• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Experience with accounts receivable preferred.

• Desire to learn and cultivate finance and accounting skills.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel functions.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and taking initiative.

• Goal-oriented team player who can manage multiple tasks effectively.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: [$55,000—$88,000 USD]

Additional compensation may include:
