Zapier’s Agents Team is building one of the most transformative products in the company’s history — Zapier Agents, an AI-powered automation assistant that helps users delegate work across 8,000+ apps using natural language and real user workflows.
We’re hiring Senior Full Stack Engineers (frontend leaning) to help take this product from powerful prototype to intuitive, reliable, and production-scale experience. You’ll collaborate closely with AI experts, product managers, designers, and platform engineers to bring LLM-native workflows to life — with users and usability always at the center.
Zapier Agents is a new and fast-moving product at the intersection of AI, automation, and product-led growth. In this role, you’ll:
Design and build features that allow users to delegate tasks and orchestrate workflows using natural language
Contribute to backend systems that manage agent memory, reasoning, execution, and system integrations
Build and refine user-facing features and interfaces for initiating, monitoring, and guiding agent behavior
Collaborate with AI and platform teams to connect Zapier Agents with core orchestration infrastructure
Own projects end-to-end — from scoping and architecture to implementation, testing, and support
Improve developer experience, observability, and deployment pipelines as the product matures
If you’re excited about building real-world applications of AI (not just demos), working across the stack, and shaping the future of autonomous agents in automation — we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for frontend leaning fullstack engineers who bring:
6+ years of experience building and maintaining production web applications, including 2+ years in a senior-level role
Experience working across the stack — with React/TypeScript/Next.js on the frontend and Python or Node.js on the backend
Comfort designing and consuming REST APIs, managing state, and working with real-time user interactions
Familiarity with LLM-powered systems, semantic search, or AI orchestration frameworks is a plus
Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka/SQS, or other modern backend infrastructure
You lead with curiosity, pragmatism, and clarity — especially in fast-evolving, ambiguous spaces
You’re user- and outcome-oriented: you care about building the right thing, not just the technically elegant one
You’ve used AI tooling for work or personal use—or you are willing to dive in and learn fast. You explore new tools, workflows, and ideas to make things more efficient, and are eager to deepen your understanding of AI and use it regularly
Zapier Agents is one of the most strategically important products in our roadmap — and one of the most ambitious. As a Senior Engineer on this team, you’ll be part of defining what it means for users to get work done through intelligent agents:
Help move a critical AI product from prototype to scale — shaping core experiences in the process
Collaborate with design, product, and AI leadership to make Agents more intuitive, trustworthy, and effective
Work on an LLM-powered system that spans reasoning, memory, and execution across thousands of integrations
Be part of a deeply cross-functional, high-ownership team with visibility across the company
Zapier is a 100% remote team, and has been since day one. We value asynchronous communication, transparent collaboration, and work-life harmony. We believe in building systems that scale—both in code and in culture.
If you’re passionate about shaping the future of AI-driven automation, and want to work at a company that cares deeply about its people and its product, we’d love to hear from you.
At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.
Education is not a requirement for our roles; however, if you receive an offer, you will need to include your most recent educational experience as part of our background check process.
After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!
