Mid-level Giving Manager

World Central Kitchen (WCK) is seeking a thoughtful, donor-centric Manager of Mid-Level Giving to strengthen engagement and retention among individuals giving between $1,000 and $9,999 annually. Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, this role will build personalized outreach strategies, craft scalable donor experiences, and serve as a key connector between grassroots supporters and WCK’s major gifts program. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder at heart, with a passion for meaningful donor experiences, comfort analyzing data, and an ability to scale personalized stewardship with creativity and care. This is an exciting opportunity to grow an important revenue stream while ensuring that every donor feels seen, valued, and inspired by their impact.

This role requires a sincere commitment to WCK’s mission, the proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This position will report to our Washington DC location and will require at least 1-2 days in office.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Mid-Level Donor Engagement

  • Implement structured touchpoint plans to ensure donors receive regular, meaningful communication across the year.
  • Conduct personalized outreach (calls, emails, notes, and virtual meetings) to deepen donor relationships and share timely impact updates.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Development teams to create tailored updates, thank-you messages, and evergreen stewardship content.
  • Execute mini campaigns for renewal, upgrade, and reactivation throughout the year.
  • Identify upgrade-ready donors and partner with Major Gifts team to transition qualified donors.

  Mid-Level Opportunities & Donor Experience

  • Create mid-level donor opportunities that foster connection to WCK’s mission (e.g., unique updates, behind-the-scenes stories, virtual briefings).
  • Test segmented approaches to outreach by donor behavior, geography, or interests.
  • Support development of new mid-level donor journeys and potential onboarding tracks.

Donor Insights & Strategy

  • Monitor giving trends, retention, and churn within the mid-level segment and make data-informed recommendations to improve performance.
  • Track engagement touchpoints and progress in Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with Donor Operations and Digital teams to ensure a seamless donor experience.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between and collaborate with grassroots, community fundraising, mid-level, and major giving programs, ensuring consistency in messaging and donor handoffs.
  • Participate in organization-wide fundraising campaigns (e.g., Giving Tuesday, Year-End) and ensure thoughtful integration of mid-level donors.
  • 3–5 years of experience in individual giving, donor engagement, or relationship management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a donor-first mindset
  • Experience with portfolio management or CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Creative and curious approach to scaling personal touches at volume
  • Must have a valid passport
  • Alignment with the mission and values of WCK

Preferred candidates will also have previous experience working in a fundraising, development, or an operations environment, experience coordinating with outside vendors, and multicultural experience.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 USD
