Cloud Data Engineer
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient SQL and relational database management
- Python development experience
- Familiarity with JavaScript
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts, specifically Azure Gov Cloud
- Experience with data ingestion, ETL processes, and API integrations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass comprehensive background checks
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Security+ baseline certs or ability to attain within 6 weeks
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and architect data pipelines
- Perform data transformations, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Develop and evolve scripts and notebooks to meet evolving client needs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability
- Ensure data solutions meet security and compliance standards for government environments
- Coordinate with data architects to align data models with project objectives
- Document code, technical specifications, processes, and best practices
- Coordinate API and data model changes with broader project teams
- Deliver scoped enhancements to existing digital assets and submit monthly status reports
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Willingness to obtain required baseline certifications (AZ-900 and Security+ if not already held)
