Job Description
As a Staff Account with Westgate Resorts you will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process within the Resort Accounting function.

As a Staff Accountant you will:
- Record journal entries accurately and on time, following the corporate closing schedule
- Research and document financial data to support senior staff
- Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations promptly and accurately
- Investigate reconciling items and report exceptions to senior staff for review
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five years experience in a month end close general ledger environment
- Hotel/Resort/Hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to work overtime to assist Financial reporting department deadlines
- Entry level knowledge of various accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills written and oral
- Ability to work independently and in a group environment (team player)
