Responsibilities
- Process and verify AR documents for accuracy, completion, and validity
- Record customer payments and post daily bank deposits for Service, Parts, and Finance
- Reconcile customer payments to open balances and investigate discrepancies
- Perform collections activities, including statements, sending accounts to collection agencies or attorneys when required
- Complete credit application screenings and assign receivable accounts to approved customers
- Follow up on extended warranty payments and resubmit claims as necessary
- Maintain documentation of collection efforts and AR records
- Monitor and report issues with machinery and credit card machines for the Business Office
- Distribute supplies to departments and maintain proper storage
- Adhere to confidentiality and GLBA/FTC Safeguards Rule requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting coursework is beneficial
