Responsibilities
- Serve as lead electrical engineer for hardware development on DoD/MDA programs involving controllable solid propulsion systems
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers through design, analysis, integration, and test
- Design and oversee development of controller electronics, high-reliability interconnects, and sensor interfaces
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-2221, MIL-PRF-38534/38535 and other standards
- Perform system architecture trade studies and support divert attitude control system configurations
- Perform FMEAs, fault tree analyses, and worst-case circuit analyses to meet mission assurance goals
- Interface with suppliers and test labs for qualification, EMI/EMC testing, and electrical verification
- Prepare ICDs, test reports, and qualification packages for customer delivery
- Present design approaches, risks, and readiness at PDR/CDR/TRR and other design reviews
- Support integration, system bring-up, troubleshooting, and hardware qualification campaigns
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (required)
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
