Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Voyager Technologies is a mission-driven defense, national security and space technology company delivering transformative, mission-critical solutions. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be the principal program-level manufacturing engineer supporting a Department of Defense program, responsible for production readiness, process definition, quality, on-time delivery, and cost targets while working cross-functionally to implement manufacturing improvements.

Skills

  • AS9100/AS9102/ISO 9001 knowledge and application
  • GD&T and drawing for manufacturability review
  • Root cause analysis and RCCA execution
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with FAI, MRB and supplier auditing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and program management tools
  • Familiarity with MDA/MAP and PMAP mission assurance provisions
  • Experience with EVMS CAM and supplier processes
  • Non-destructive inspection/testing experience (solid propellants) desired

Responsibilities

  • Define and document program manufacturing processes, tools, work instructions and training materials
  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing and test operations support to meet quality, OTD and cost targets
  • Collaborate with design, safety, quality, operations and supply chain to ensure manufacturability
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI), Hardware Acceptance and Pre-Ship Reviews
  • Conduct and/or approve FAI reports and participate in Supplier FAI reviews
  • Perform Manufacturing Readiness Level Assessments (MRLAs) and supplier evaluations
  • Drive change management for process and design improvements and track implementation
  • Coach and mentor production technicians; maintain training records and frontline support
  • Support internal/external audits, program status reviews, and customer interfaces (DCMA, program office)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university (or equivalent experience)
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline preferred
