Software Engineer III - Full Stack and Java
Skills
- Strong backend development in Java for web services and data processing
- Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred) and 3D web technologies
- Experience with real-time data feeds, WebSockets/streaming, and performance optimization
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable system and UI architectures
- Experience creating UI mockups/prototypes and converting UX requirements into implementations
- Experience evaluating and integrating third-party SDKs and toolkits
- Proven mentoring and technical leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers, systems engineers, and customers to convert UX requirements into GUI prototypes and system designs
- Design and implement a flexible, performant, and maintainable UI backend (Java-based) and frontend for 3D geospatial visualization
- Build frontend features that handle multiple real-time data feeds and render 3D geospatial content responsively
- Evaluate and integrate vendor SDKs/toolkits and emerging technologies to meet product requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other software engineers; act as individual contributor and technical lead as needed
- Participate in customer meetings, design reviews, and cross-functional problem-solving sessions
- Make architecture and implementation decisions that shape the software deliverables
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field OR equivalent experience
- Advanced degree (MS) in a related field preferred but not required
