Skills
- Proficiency in Python and backend development.
- Deep knowledge of API platform development, including API design, docs, sandbox provisioning, and key management.
- Experience with component-based frontend frameworks (React or Vue) for feature implementation.
- Familiarity with Django and Django Rest Framework (preferred).
- Strong SQL skills and data model design experience, especially PostgreSQL.
- Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and product teams to translate goals into technical solutions and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure for the Benefits and Care API Platform.
- Own end-to-end delivery of large, ambiguous problems from design through release with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ensure world-class API design, documentation, sandbox environments, and API key management.
- Contribute to frontend work when needed using component-based frameworks to implement features.
- Champion engineering best practices: clean, maintainable code, code reviews, and mentoring teammates.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Relevant professional experience (3+ years) may substitute for formal education.
