The North America (NA) Solution Design Team is responsible for ensuring that Visa is developing new solutions that our clients want and can successfully implement. The Senior Manager of Solution Design will partner closely with product managers across Visa, taking a cross-product view towards product development. This role will work across key strategic product lines within Visa such as risk and identity, digital and more.
We are looking for a well-rounded individual who can develop a deep understanding of client needs and market requirements and incorporate them into the product development process. A successful candidate is a seasoned leader with a strong technical background, effective communication skills, desire to design fit-for-purpose solutions based on client and market needs, and most importantly an appetite for continuous learning. This role reports to the Senior Director, Solution Design within Visa’s NA Product and Solutions organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Ability to articulate product value proposition to executive-level business stakeholders and also explain technical details to developer-level contacts
• Product management and or development experience, with business requirements, solution design and architecture documents, and process flow diagrams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Payments industry/fintechs/digital tech experience or similar relevant experience
• Experience with one or more of the following payments areas: digital (e.g. e-commerce, tokenization), authentication & identity, and/or risk (e.g., fraud prevention, risk scoring)
• Excellent facilitator and moderator with strong communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively with a wide set of stakeholders
• Proven ability to work on complex and often ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with a disposition to work independently with a commitment to detail in an organized manner

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,100.00 to 230,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
