This position will continue the Valmet tradition of creating innovative industry leading and sustainable solutions for customers as well as supporting the product life cycle for Jamesbury and Neles branded valves, actuators and related fluid control products. As a Senior R&D Engineer, this position will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and ensuring the highest quality standards for our Jamesbury and Neles valve products.

Expectations

To excel in this role, you should:

• Lead the development and optimization of new valve technologies and materials.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
• Work will include new product development, sustaining engineering efforts, and support of technology development.
• Apply knowledge of engineering principles to the design of metallic and non-metallic sealing products for both static and dynamic sealing.
• Will be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, failure analysis and/or repair of valve assemblies.
• Define and lead validation, qualification, and compliance testing of new & existing products

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering or related discipline
• 10 yrs of related experience is preferred
• Strong Solidworks and/or FEA experience preferred
• Valve industry experience a plus
• Casting and metallurgy experience a plus
