Expectations

To excel in this role, you should:

• Prepare P&ID’s (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) to guide manufacturing processes and for customer evaluation.
• Review and authorize engineering work completed by colleagues to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support the design of pneumatic control systems and component selection during pre-quotation phases, focusing on precision and high-speed requirements.
• Develop technical solutions for new applications and provide troubleshooting expertise for complex technical challenges encountered by both internal and external clients.
• Draft and maintain engineering guidelines and specifications related to instrumentation, including keeping valve control specifications up to date.
• Collaborate with project management and sales teams to identify and address key customer requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to our inside sales team and external sales channels as required.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for continuous improvement in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in the same field.
• Proven expertise in interpreting P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) is essential.
• Hands-on experience in instrumentation and/or automation engineering is mandatory.
• Familiarity with ISO-1219 symbols is required.
• Experience in technical writing is required.
