About Ledger
Nonprofits called human service organizations (HSOs) contract with government to deliver social services like homeless shelters, after school programs, and community health programs. (HSOs earn ~$350B in revenue each year.)
Every time they provide a service, HSOs must enter data into government-built platforms. These platforms aren’t user friendly: frontline staff spend 20–30% of their time struggling to enter and re-enter information, while administrators have little visibility into or control over what data is being captured.
Ledger is a data management system purpose-built for collecting and reporting data to government. It automates data re-entry into government systems, reimagines collection through seamless workflows, and gives administrators control over collection methods. The result: a dramatic reduction in administrative burden, freeing HSOs to focus on meeting their communities’ most pressing needs.
About the role
We’re seeking a founding engineer who will:
Own prototype iterations to quickly validate and refine ideas
Collaborate with our design partner and the rest of the team to shape our product roadmap
Continuously improve how we plan, track, and execute software development

2–5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong track record of taking products from 0→1.
(Preferred) Are familiar with our stack: TypeScript, React, Tailwind, MongoDB, and tRPC
Compensation range
$162K to $180K base, 0.15% to 0.37% equity
