Engineering Manager (Remote - US)

Accountabilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, promoting technical growth, collaboration, and professional development.
• Oversee software development processes, ensuring adherence to best practices, design patterns, and scalable solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Product and Technical Program Managers, to define team mission, vision, and roadmap.
• Provide strategic architectural guidance and support execution for new initiatives within the team.
• Conduct code reviews, address development hurdles, and maintain high-quality, well-tested code.
• Balance competing priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure timely delivery of projects in scope and budget.
• Continuously improve team processes, technical standards, and operational efficiency.

• 4+ years of experience directly managing engineering teams, ideally including multiple staff engineers or larger teams.
• Strong technical expertise in Java, Spring, AWS (EC2, ECS), Postgres, and MongoDB; experience with Python and Robot Framework is a plus.
• Proven ability to drive software development projects to successful outcomes, including troubleshooting and iterative improvement.
• Experience working with ambiguous priorities and cross-functional dependencies.
• Knowledge of test-first development and best practices in software engineering.
• Track record of successfully launching products or features with observability and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to guide technical decisions effectively.
