GN Hearing Care is a leading international developer and manufacturer of advanced hearing aids.  The company offers a full range of hearing instruments under the ReSound, Beltone and Interton brand names.  We are currently searching for a Software Engineer to join our development team in Glenview, IL. 

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about designing and implementing a user-friendly application and takes pride in learning and applying new technologies. The primary goal is to work on and create desktop software as per the market’s, the product manager's and PO’s demands for the healthcare industry.

Roles and responsibilities

• Understand the business needs (audiology)
• Design, create and maintain software of highest quality
• Create and manage tools to improve productivity
• Identifying, prioritizing and executing tasks in the development life cycle
• Performing validation and unit tests
• Creating and updating documentation

Requirements and Skills

• Prior experience and expertise in developing software
• Expertise in developing high-quality software design and architecture
• Proficient in reviewing and debugging code
• Proficient in programming languages, such as C#, JavaScript, HTML
• Preferable experience in technologies such as Blazor, razor and Bootstrap
• Experience in WPF and MVVM experience is advantageous
• Proficient in using Visual Studio, git, Azure DevOps
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great problem-solving and time-management skills for better productivity
• Great at working collaboratively with others to achieve agreed goals
• Ability to work independently in a team environment
• Proficient experience with SAFe/Agile

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science
• Minimum 3+ years of experience
• Very strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals
• Excellent knowledge of coding and good problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable and experienced in web architecture

Pay Transparency Notice

• The target annual compensation for this position can range from $90,000.00 - $125,000.00, with a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of the fiscal year-end
• Compensation for roles at GN depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience
• To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidays
