Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the standard costing process including rate reviews, new product costing, annual builds, and cost audits
- Manage and summarize month-end variances, capitalized variance capture, and amortization
- Partner with Plant Controller and FP&A to monitor overhead rates and recommend corrective actions for material variances
- Ensure production and inventory transactions are completed before period close and investigate variances
- Drive improvements in costing accuracy, forecasting, and visibility of egg and butter COGS
- Support internal and external audits and participate in year-end physical inventory
- Develop and monitor internal controls and SOX compliance related to costing and inventory
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the cost team
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc financial analyses
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Relevant professional or industry training a plus
