The Role

We're hiring a backend-focused Software Engineer to build and scale our core product infrastructure. You'll be excited about AI's potential to transform enterprise work, with foundational experience in backend development and a strong desire to build features, data models, APIs, and integrations that power our AI agents.

This is a great opportunity to grow in a fast-paced startup where you'll work directly with the entire engineering team and leadership to build mission-critical features. You'll get hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, enterprise integrations, and scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend features, APIs, and business logic that power our AI agents and frontend applications

• Develop integrations to finance data sources including ERPs, banks, CRMs, HRIS, payroll, and billing systems

• Create and maintain ETL processes to ensure smooth data flow from source systems into our database

• Work with the AI team to ensure backend systems handle hundreds of thousands of queries per month with high performance and reliability

• Own large parts of the product with an ownership mentality that drives meaningful outcomes

About You

• 2+ years backend experience delivering production features. You're comfortable with REST APIs, databases, and modern web frameworks (TypeScript/Node.js preferred). You excel at building integrations—digesting API docs quickly, standing up connections with urgency, and designing schemas that consolidate data from siloed systems.

You operate independently, figure out solutions, deliver under ambiguity, and go above and beyond to crush goals.

• Strong problem solver: Adept at debugging, prototyping solutions, and thinking creatively through technical challenges.
