The Department of Professional Aviation at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, nine-month Aviation Instructor/Lecturer within the College of Liberal Arts. The position will begin on September 1, 2025.
Qualifications:
(Required): Master’s degree in Aviation or combination of Master's degree and Aviation Experience. He or she must work well under pressure and must be able to adapt to constantly changing conditions. Additionally, he or she must have the ability to multi-task, collect information, analyze data, define challenges, set priorities, and draw valid conclusions in a timely manner. He or she must be able to work varied hours during on and off campus events.
(Preferred): Master’s degree in aviation related academic field, current AGI/IGI/MEI, prior experience as a 14 CFR Part 141 flight instructor and experience with collegiate aviation accreditation through the Aviation Accreditation Board International.
Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to: teaching undergraduate aviation classroom courses; advising students; assisting with planning, development, and revision of school course curricula; and, engaging in research and professional service within the guidelines of the University or as determined by the Director.
