A bachelorās degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent, is preferred. A minimum of two years of progressively responsible event operation experience with demonstrated success is preferred.
Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Human Resource Director and the Chancellor.
Preferred Technical skills:
Audio Systems, Advanced knowledge of audio engineering, with specific expertise on the Yamaha CL5 console.
Lighting Systems: Advanced knowledge of lighting design and operation, with specific expertise on Hedgehog 4 consoles.
Additional Information:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ā· Analyze and evaluate the need for technical support for various events and performances.
Ā· Plan, develop, schedule and provide the technical supports required for each event or performance.
Ā· Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ā· Design and construct sets.
Ā· Design lighting and sound systems appropriate to each event.
Ā· Oversee stage crews and volunteers.
Ā· Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Ā· Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
Ā· Assist in budget preparation.
Ā· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives of various groups, vendors, co-workers, and others.
Ā· Maintain irregular and extended working hours.
Ā· Able to lift, push or pull objects up to 100 pounds using appropriate tools.
