High School Subject Tutor - Special Education Support

About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Murietta, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Murietta, CA
• Schedule: Mornings on weekends
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Focus Area: Foundational ELA and Math

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience tutoring high school students with special education needs.
• Familiarity with Canvas or similar online learning platforms.
• Strong knowledge of biology, foundational math skills, and English Language Arts.
• Patient, encouraging, and skilled at adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Ability to incorporate creative approaches to engage students.
• Female tutor preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the student with comprehension and completion of assignments via the Canvas platform.
• Provide targeted instruction in biology, math fundamentals, and ELA aligned with special education goals.
• Develop and deliver structured lessons when assignments are not available or additional practice is needed.
• Utilize engaging, interest-based strategies to maintain student motivation and participation.
• Communicate regularly with the family and/or school team to track progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
