As a Project Engineer II for Milwaukee Tool, you will be utilizing your engineering skills and project management ability to execute critical design updates required to ensure our products remain best-in-class and are meeting the needs of our users.

You’ll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

• Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provide engineering support on mid-level complexity projects under the supervision of project engineering manager
• Work cross-functionally and globally with Quality & Reliability Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Service & Support, Marketing, and numerous other departments
• Lead tradeoff discussions with a focus on Performance, Cost, and Schedule
• Assist in developing comprehensive plans to meet project targets
• Monitor & track project progress and provide regular project status updates to senior management and the project team
• Visit global manufacturing facilities and provide troubleshooting analysis as required
• Interpret data and make corresponding design recommendations including but not limited to:
  • Utilization of computer aided simulation tools
  • Selection of materials and heat treatments
  • Tolerance stacks and deviation analysis
  • Selection and evaluation of lubricant properties and uses
  • Statics and dynamics
  • Noise and vibration analysis
  • lnteract with suppliers to develop part and product specifications that meet performance requirements while falling within process capabilities.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required. Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
• Ability to travel internationally & domestically to global manufacturing and service facilities (<10% travel)
• Ability to manage several simultaneous projects is required
• Highly developed mechanical aptitude is required including a broad knowledge of engineering materials used in power tools and a basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter with a strong problem-solving mentality
• Understanding of DFMA and various cost drivers associated with materials, labor & overhead is required
• PMP/CAPM certification is a plus but not required
