- Practical experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Ability to analyze supplier metrics and apply statistical methods to drive improvements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work with suppliers and internal teams
Responsibilities
- Improve supplier quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink satellites and gateways
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand part and assembly intent
- Develop supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production phases
- Lead root cause analysis and supplier corrective actions for quality issues, coordinating across purchasing, engineering, and production
- Define and implement PPAP and other production readiness activities with suppliers
- Analyze supplier metrics to identify trends and drive improvement plans
- Identify and qualify new suppliers and manufacturing/metrology capabilities
- Drive product and process improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, and supply risk
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain regular communication to ensure mission-critical supply continuity
- Lead projects and cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve the supply base
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (required)
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain (preferred)
