Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing the weekly payroll for union employees
Enter the weekly payroll into the E-Time payroll system (e31), Workday employee data system (wd5), and ESS union employee system (v3)
Prepare and enter new hire, re-hire, address changes, allocation, rate, and title changes for entry into the Workday system
Provide up to date employee information and process payment of mid-year and annual bonuses, entitlements, unused sick payouts, yearly increases, allocations and titles changes
Prepare monthly unused sick and vacation day accruals for financial reporting
Review, edit and supply information needed to process the monthly union invoice, our division’s largest monthly expense
Conduct quarterly check audits for all union employees
Obtain appropriate levels of approval, sometime multiple approvals, according to task
Able to adhere to strict confidentiality and maintain high level of professionalism
Meet all payroll expectations by executing and complying with all company policies and procedures.
Timely completion of weekly payroll reports for weekly operational meetings
Coordinate with ADP, payroll department and supervisors regarding the time functions and recordings of all cleaning employees. (This is for managing the punch in clocks when it breaks or malfunctions)
Train, lead, and direct the work of other co-workers when needed
Back-up for the office administrator during vacation and lunch
Provide continuous feedback to supervisors concerning their employee’s hours through weekly exception reports and weekly payroll timesheets
Address related problems before the payroll is submitted with the respective supervisors
Request monthly reports from the payroll department to audit, correlate, and enhance data to improve overall accuracy within the cleaning department
Manages all phases of a project, including gathering documents, planning, testing, implementation, and training for payroll
Provide consultation to supervisors, problem resolution and support in queries and reports
Analyze employee trends for lateness, call outs, overtime, etc.
Ensure proper approval for staffing changes

Qualifications:
BA/BS required (Accounting degree preferred)
5-7 years of relevant payroll experience
Experience working with 32BJ union employees
Must have advanced Word and Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups)

E-time, Workday and ESS knowledge
The base compensation range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s New York team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
