What you’ll be doing
Research and analyze dealer proposals to ensure compliance to all applicable Market Representation policies.
Analyze dealer performance vs. TMS’s minimum standards (sales, customer retention/loyalty, capitalization, profitability, facilities).
Evaluate dealers’ proposed changes to ownership and management to confirm compliance with Market Representation’s Ownership and Control policies.
Prepare and compile comprehensive proposals for dealer agreement renewals, ownership changes, General Manager changes, buy/sells, location amendments, nominations of successor, entity/DBA name changes, terminations.
Finalize/complete approved Market Representation actions and maintain dealer files.
Work with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA)-Accounting and Selling Dealer to reconcile and finalize Selling Dealer’s parts account and wind-down Toyota’s business relationship with Selling Dealer.
Travel to dealerships related to performance-based sales consultations, financial statement consultations, Dealer Performance Report consultations and General Manager Evaluation (GME) consultations.
Analyze and understand complex dealer entity and corporate governance structures.
Analyze pro forma financial forecasts.
Perform holding company consolidated financial statement reviews.
Create Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Competitive Dealership Matrix to document and evaluate new vehicle sales, sales efficiency, customer retention, profitability, and Net Working Capital.
Prioritize dealership proposals based on many variables.
Securely handle and maintain confidential and Personally Identifiable Information.
Understand and apply state franchise laws as applicable.
Occasionally discuss dealer performance, capital, and profitability issues with Dealer Principals, General Managers, and their attorneys and accountants.
Understanding of Market Rep Policies and Procedures.
What you bring
College degree or equivalent professional work experience.
5+ years professional experience in the franchise automotive field.
Possess a strong knowledge of Market Representation policies.
Proficient use of Workout to prepare proposal transmittals and retrieve dealer performance reports/data.
Understanding of financial statement, holding companies, LLC’s, and ownership structures.
Comfortable talking with lawyers, controllers, Dealer Principals, and General Managers.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically.
Added Bonus if you have
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Strong organizational skill and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
