Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Production Control Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Logistics Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to safely manage the logistics operation using the highest quality processes, ensuring timely freight delivery.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the person in this role will support the Production Control department's objective to lead continuous improvement of Freight management processes/procedures while incorporating a passion for innovation and process improvement into daily management cycles. Learning, teaching, and leading through Toyota processes (i.e., PDCA, TBP, JKK, TPS and Toyota Way).
What you’ll be doing
Work on-site at TMMMS to provide quick problem solving and support to our end customers.
Oversee daily operations of logistics providers to ensure on-time delivery and freight recovery is in place.
Lead & manage utilizing FMDS and driving TBP and JKK into the daily supply chain improvement.
Lead Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost kaizen activities driven from daily KPI management.
Set up timely expedite recovery for part recovery and returns management.
Process monthly cyclic billing for logistics providers
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree – BS / BA or 3 years of equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Mgmt., Operations Mgmt.
Project Management experience including schedule creation, coordination activity with stakeholders, reporting, and executing a deliverable.
Strong written, verbal communication, and visualization skills to report out daily.
The ability to work well in a team environment and meet cyclical deadlines.
Added bonus if you have
2 + years of experience in supply chain planning or operations.
Experience managing operations within the Toyota supply chain environment.
Experience using Toyota Logistics systems such as LIOS / FVM / TLMS / E-Kanban / OWK.
Microsoft Office skills using Access, Excel, and Power BI.
Proven demonstration of problem-solving principles such as TBP (Toyota Business Process) or 5 why analysis.
Over the road or rail logistics planning experience in automotive or high cost / high volume environment.
Toyota automotive manufacturing experience
