Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as an Urgent Aid Tech in the Family Care Center in Tinley Park. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
With the leadership of the Assistant Patient Care Manager (APCM), Manager (PCM), and Director of Urgent Aid, the Technician demonstrates necessary training, skills and knowledge to provide for patients according to unit specific competencies. Technicians assist in the delivery patient care including, quick triage, vital signs, respiratory therapy modalities, insertion/removal of peripheral IV catheters, venipuncture and other specimen collection, laboratory testing, instrument QCs and calibrations. Insertion of urinary catheters, application/removal of non-invasive cardio respiratory monitors, EKG monitoring, basic wound care, assist with provider exams including pelvic exams, and extremity splinting/immobilization. Contributes to exceeding the expectation of patients, providers, and guests by providing high quality, cost effective care and treatment in a professional and compassionate manner. Participate in regulatory survey readiness
