Here, you will act as a central information source for physicians and other health care professionals. Our Unit Secretary’s pride themselves on always maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Under the leadership of the Manager, you will provide clerical support to assist in the delivery of quality care to patients. This involves clerical support activities which will facilitate the Patient Care Center operations including transcription, processing of physician orders, serves as a reception agent for all patients/family members, physician, patient care team members, other healthcare team members, and facilitates the channeling of information to appropriate points of service timely and accurately. Demonstrates necessary skills and knowledge to provide services for patients according to unit specific competencies as appropriate to the age of the patient served as delineated in the Center’s Scope of Care.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
