- Ability to perform statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, forecasting, and data collection.
- Competence in research methods, problem solving, and creating data dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Manage data collection, analysis, and implementation of complex planning projects and crime suppression initiatives.
- Provide official crime statistics, data reports, dashboards, patrol beat analysis, and research on policies or legislation.
- Conduct GIS analysis and create hotspot maps while providing departmental GIS support.
- Coordinate and lead Police Department initiatives, including the Five-Year Strategic Plan.
- Develop or update Departmental goals, objectives, performance measures, and policies.
- Serve as support staff to the Crime Control and Prevention District Board of Directors.
- Assist in updating the department website.
- Lead or assist with facility planning, design, and construction projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Urban Planning or Design, Public Administration, Urban Geography, or related field.
