Responsibilities
- Plan, track and oversee business requirements for components of the city's budget software
- Manage and maintain the Personnel Module in Questica Budget to calculate salary and benefit costs
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Police, Fire and other departments to budget negotiated labor costs
- Serve as liaison for departmental questions related to personnel budgets
- Identify process and user-experience improvements for budgeting workflows
- Provide personnel cost data and reports to inform budget targets
- Write SQL queries and build reports using MS Report Builder
- Prepare and deliver training for FWLab budget team and departmental fiscal coordinators
- Participate in special projects and research best practices in municipal budgeting
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Candidates without a degree may be considered with substantially more relevant work experience
