- Experience monitoring and analyzing AMI/MDMS data
- Strong QA/QC and meter read validation skills
- Familiarity with GIS and utility mapping
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data review tools
- Working knowledge of billing systems (e.g., AS400) and work order platforms
- Clear written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration
Responsibilities
- Monitor AMI reports to detect tampering, communication failures, zero-usage alarms, and other anomalies
- Analyze and validate automated meter readings for accuracy and billing integrity
- Generate and track work orders for communication issues, billing requests, and account investigations
- Conduct audits of meter data and support asset verification in the billing system
- Collaborate with field crews, billing teams, and water development staff to ensure accurate meter mapping and service records
- Review GIS and utility maps to confirm meter infrastructure locations
- Track warranty and lifecycle data on meters and initiate replacement or investigation work orders
- Participate in training new staff and support special projects involving meter data and customer analytics
Education
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required) or equivalent work experience
- Candidates lacking the exact education may be considered with additional relevant experience
