Responsibilities
- Review engineering plans, profiles, water/sewer maps, pressure and drainage data for proposed developments
- Perform calculations to evaluate utility service feasibility and design conformance
- Interpret and apply city ordinances, policies and standards to new and redevelopment projects
- Review plats, BOA and zoning cases for water and sewer compliance
- Attend pre-development meetings and provide water/sanitary sewer guidance to developers and builders
- Generate will-serve letters and other formal documentation as required
- Serve as a liaison between city departments, builders, developers and customers
- Research and analyze development-related issues and recommend solutions
- Provide complex staff assistance to managerial staff and maintain consistent customer service
Education
- Associate Degree in Engineering or related field (required)
- Two years of technical engineering experience in drafting, design, plan review or surveying (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
