Guided by integrity, trust, excellence, and accountability, our team helps deliver complex capital programs and build the resilient energy infrastructure that communities depend on.

Position Overview

CARIAN is seeking a Project Manager – Energy Efficiency to support a major clean energy initiative for our client in Newark, NJ. This role will help bring structure, coordination, and project discipline to a highly visible program focused on advancing customer-centric clean energy and efficiency outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the client’s program team in the planning, design, and delivery of energy efficiency and clean energy programs.

  • Lead internal and external meetings, manage follow-ups, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Monitor project milestones and assist with internal and external reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, documentation, and stakeholder engagement processes.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and client partners to ensure alignment and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience managing projects or programs within utilities, energy efficiency, or related industries.

  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills; proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience working in policy-oriented, stakeholder-driven environments preferred.

  • PMP certification a plus.

Why CARIAN?

  • Purpose-driven work – Help deliver infrastructure that powers communities.

  • Industry reputation – Trusted by leading utilities for our reliability and results.

  • Career growth – Opportunities to lead major programs and mentor high-performing teams.

  • Collaborative culture – Join a team that values delivery excellence and long-term relationships.

  • Competitive total rewards – Strong compensation, full benefits, 401(k) match, and meaningful work.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $115,000 – $145,000 annually, based on a full-time equivalent schedule. This range represents a good-faith estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base salary, the role includes eligibility for bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and a company 401(k) match.
