The job in a sentence

You will partner with the Chief of Staff to keep Tenex running at peak performance. This means supporting internal operations (e.g., FP&A, recruiting, etc.), streamlining workflows, and driving special projects that make our pods and Managing Partners more effective. You’ll be a driving force that keeps initiatives moving forward—bringing clarity, structure, and accountability to everything we do.

Your are obsessed with detail and quality—ensuring smooth execution of initiatives, enabling pods to move faster, and supporting leadership with the infrastructure to scale.

Ideal Skill Set

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver

  • Your oven (IQ) burns hot, but your fire (motivation) burns even hotter.

  • Skilled at collaborating across teams, identifying inefficiencies, and building streamlined processes

  • Strong knowledge of automation tools and workflow optimization (Notion, Slack, CRM/ATS, finance tools, etc.)

  • Experienced in building SOPs, tracking KPIs, and enabling teams through clear documentation and training

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Strong communicator—able to provide clear updates, escalate risks, and drive accountability

Compensation & benefits

Earn between $100,000 and $200,000 annually, with opportunities for further upside tied to your output.
