Responsibilities
- Anchor daily and weekend sportscasts on television newscasts (including 6:00pm)
- Enterprise, shoot, write and edit local sports stories for broadcast and digital
- Produce, book guests for, script and host the weekly streaming show 24th Floor Sports
- Create and publish engaging sports content for streaming app, website and social channels
- Attend games, press conferences and community sports events (evenings and weekends)
- Develop and maintain relationships with local high schools, colleges and pro teams
- Collaborate with newsroom on breaking sports news and crossover features
- Maintain editorial integrity and journalistic standards across all platforms
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Preferred coursework or experience in broadcast journalism and multimedia production
