Responsibilities
- Perform live shots for developing and breaking news situations
- Generate and develop story ideas from community reporting and source cultivation
- Shoot, write, produce and edit stories for on-air and online within deadlines
- Research facts and verify credibility of sources and information
- Use creative production techniques (graphics, viewer content, webcam interviews) to enhance stories
- Use social media and digital tools to research, discover and distribute content
- Attend editorial meetings and contribute story ideas daily
- Maintain and develop reporting sources across beats and communities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred
- Equivalent professional experience in reporting considered
