Responsibilities
- Drive and execute long-term newsroom and content strategy
- Train, develop, coach and mentor producers and content creators across platforms
- Oversee daily editorial process and on-air execution, providing coaching and feedback
- Review and approve scripts; copy edit rundowns for accuracy and quality
- Coordinate coverage of breaking news, enterprise stories and specials
- Recruit and source top newsroom talent
- Ensure coverage aligns with station brand, company policies and FCC rules
- Manage newsroom operations, schedules and production workflows
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field required
- Relevant newsroom leadership experience preferred
