Responsibilities
- Generate unique, compelling story and show ideas for broadcast, streaming and digital platforms
- Develop sources, pitch enterprise stories, and act on viewer tips to break local news
- Write, shoot and edit packages for on-air and digital distribution
- Report live from the field for morning newscasts and special coverage
- Write and post daily to social and station digital platforms
- Participate in community and talent appearances as a station representative
- Collaborate with producers, photographers and digital teams; perform other newsroom duties as required
Education
- College degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (required)
- Continued professional development in multimedia storytelling (preferred)
