This position is an important contributor to the engineering team and is responsible for building high-performance data processing solutions. The role involves solving engineering challenges, collaborating with team members, and contributing to creative solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES

Technical Mastery:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices following best practices, ensuring optimal performance and integration with other system components.
• Create, optimize, and manage data structures and pipelines, working with data models and ensuring smooth data flow within the system.
• Integrate external services and APIs as required to enhance functionality and interoperability.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, applying new tools and methodologies to the development process.

Problem Solving and Innovation:

• Collaborate closely with data analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions are aligned with the business needs.
• Implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Follow best practices in coding, design, and development methodologies to maintain quality and consistency in your work.

Independence and Collaboration:

• Demonstrate the ability to independently resolve technical challenges, while proactively seeking guidance on more complex tasks to ensure efficient and effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions to maintain code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining backend systems, with exposure to microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and scalability
• Proficiency with data storage solutions (SQL and/or NoSQL databases)
• Proficient in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Scala, with experience working on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with .NET is preferred
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
