The Business Coordinator I, under direction, performs complex professional accounting and serves as the front office liaison, while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Entries
Computes and prepares journal entries or manual batches and analyzes posting accuracy.
Classifies, codes, posts, and balances financial and accounting transactions on various accounts
Maintains electronic financial record controls for retention compliance.
Reviews all departmental deposit requests for accuracy and provides guidance to maintain compliance with state, federal, or campus polices and procedures.
Assists with departmental control of merchandise sales.
Reconciles state revenues and prepares data needed to remit funds to state banks (USAS)
Prepares all entries needed to record state and local reimbursement activity.
Financial Reports & Reconciliations
Downloads daily and monthly bank reports.
Reconciles financial accounts and banking activities.
Monitors completeness of all financial reconciliations.
Completes various Annual Financial Reporting schedules assigned during the year-end process.
Assures compliance with all standards, policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience – Two years of related experience.
Knowledge of –Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Oral and written communication skills. Customer service and problem solving skills.
