Skills
- Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and retirement plan compliance/testing
- Experience with ADP/ACP and other nondiscrimination and compliance testing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel
- Familiarity with trust accounting and asset reconciliation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions
- Strong organizational, project management, and detail-oriented abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fully remote environment
Responsibilities
- Administer full-cycle operations for a caseload of ~65–75 401(k) and cross-tested retirement plans
- Perform compliance testing (ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, 401(a)(4)) and interpret plan documents
- Coordinate year-end valuations and process participant transactions (loans, hardships, distributions)
- Prepare and file IRS/government forms including Form 5500, 8955, and 5330
- Reconcile plan assets, complete trust accounting tasks, and manage census/participant data imports
- Recommend and evaluate plan design changes to maintain compliance and client satisfaction
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders regarding plan administration issues
- Leverage internal systems and technology to streamline processes and improve accuracy
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
- ASPPA credentials strongly preferred or in progress
- Relevant on-the-job training or certifications in retirement plan administration preferred
