Revenue Cycle Management Analyst

About the role:

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization by analyzing and optimizing all aspects of the revenue cycle. This position involves collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. The analyst will work closely with finance, operations, and RCM leadership to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and efficient operations.

About Talkiatry:

Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to solve the problems both groups face in accessing and providing the highest quality treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated every year because care is inaccessible, while 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers because reimbursement rates are low, and paperwork is unduly burdensome.   With innovative technology and a human-centered philosophy, we provide patients with the care they need—and allow psychiatrists to focus on why they got into medicine.

You Will:
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data related to the entire revenue cycle, including eligibility, charge capture, billing, coding, and collections.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as days in accounts receivable (A/R), denial rates, and clean claim rates.
  • Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management to improve revenue cycle processes and financial performance.
  • Compile month end close data in collaboration with finance to ensure accurate financial results.
  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in the revenue cycle process
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze denial trends and work with the billing and coding teams to identify root causes and reduce denials.
  • Develop and track strategies to minimize denials and improve overall revenue capture.
  • Assist in the evaluation and optimization of revenue cycle-related software and systems (e.g., EHR, billing systems) to further automate RCM functions.
  • Collaborate with Finance & Data Analytics to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
  • Participate in projects related to revenue cycle improvement, system upgrades, and process improvement.

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, billing software, and data analysis tools.
  • Able to code in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools, and reporting software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, collections, and compliance.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
