Model-Based Systems Engineer
Skills
- Practical experience with SysML and Cameo (MagicDraw) for MBSE
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering principles and requirements traceability
- Systems architecture and systems engineering lifecycle expertise
- Familiarity with connecting models to simulation/analysis tools (AFSIM experience desirable)
- Experience with software-intensive systems and open architectures
- Proficiency in one or more high-level languages (Python, Java, C/C++) is highly desired
- Active DoD clearance (Secret) and ability to obtain Top Secret; U.S. citizenship required
Responsibilities
- Lead systems engineering efforts across the lifecycle using MBSE approaches to support DoD Digital Engineering objectives
- Develop and maintain SysML models in Cameo (MagicDraw) to capture architectures, requirements, interfaces, and design rationale
- Implement automation and customization in Cameo to improve traceability and repeatability across multidisciplinary teams
- Integrate MBSE model content with domain-specific analysis tools and simulation frameworks
- Mentor and train junior systems engineers on MBSE practices and tool usage
- Work closely with software teams and domain experts to realize program designs and ensure model-to-code/analysis traceability
Education
- BS, MS, or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- Educational background sufficient to support systems architecture and modeling responsibilities
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
