What You'll Be Doing

The Operations Associate is responsible for aiding in driving departmental results for the Operations Annuity and Insurance department. This position requires the ability to gain a sound understanding of department subject matter including assisting with projects and initiatives as assigned. Basic duties will include processing and telephone/email communication with a diverse audience. This position will require collaboration among team members to execute on departmental objectives under direct supervision while following established procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiently process and conduct thorough follow-up on annuity and insurance documents or commissions, and reports as assigned
  • Communicate via telephone and/or email to Annuity/Insurance Carriers and different levels of Stifel branch personnel; adapts communication style accordingly
  • Demonstrate ability to identify problems and seek appropriate resolution: escalates issues to managers and directors appropriately
  • Further develop skills and knowledge of Annuity and Insurance, and utilizes resources available
  • Understand and follow department and firm policies and procedures
  • Build relationships, both internally and externally to service our client base
  • Assist with projects and initiatives as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Required: 0-2 years' professional business related experience

Systems & Technology

  •   Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office products #LI-AS1
