Stepful is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Growth Tech Lead to enhance the onboarding experience for students entering healthcare careers. This high-impact role requires a blend of technical skills and product mindset to drive enrollment and improve student success metrics.
Responsibilities: Build full-stack solutions for student onboarding, optimize user experience through A/B testing, and enhance analytics infrastructure to capture data effectively.
Skills: Expertise in full-stack development, SQL, and experience with Google Analytics, GTM, and attribution tools.
Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years experience in full-stack or growth-focused engineering, familiarity with React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL is a plus.
Location: Onsite at Stepful's office in New York, 408 Broadway, Floor 5.
Compensation: $157000 - $198000 / Annually

As a Senior Product Engineer and Tech Lead on the Growth Team, you’ll own the onboarding flow at the very start of that pathway. You’ll collaborate with high calibre Marketing and Product teams to drive the full development lifecycle – from identifying opportunities and building full-stack features to running A/B tests and analyzing outcomes.
Stepful measures success by our Students’ outcomes: enrollment rate, graduation rate and job placement rate. On the Growth team, you’ll directly drive enrollment rates while optimizing acquisition efficiency, and strengthening the analytics foundation that powers every growth decision.

New Hire Base Salary Bands:
Engineer I - $127,000-$161,000
Engineer II - $142,000-$180,000
Senior I - $157,000-$198,000
Senior II - $172,000-$218,000
Staff I - $188,000-$238,000
Please note we do not have a bonus structure at this time so all cash compensation will come in the form of base salary. The total compensation package will also include our benefits package and an equity (ISOs) package.
Compensation for this role will fall within the pay range listed and will be determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications as well as interview evaluation. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
