We're seeking a mid-level Engineer, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to join our automation team and help harness the power of big data to drive business decisions and enhance the viewer experience.

The Engineer, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning will be a key member of our automation team, helping build solutions that analyze real-time and operational data from our subscribers. You will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights, optimize content discovery, personalization, subscriber retention, and platform performance. This role offers an opportunity to apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to real-world streaming media challenges in a welcoming, collaborative environment.Essential Responsibilities

• Help implement machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications that advance our predictive capabilities across the Starz DTC platform
• Process, clean, and validate large datasets from our subscriber base to ensure high-quality inputs for machine learning models
• Perform feature engineering to improve performance and accuracy in predicting subscriber behavior and content preferences
• Develop and maintain pipelines for data processing, training, and deployment within our production environment
• Train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning models to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
• Implement A/B testing frameworks to validate machine learning model performance in real-world scenarios
• Monitor model performance in production and implement improvements based on performance metrics
• Document methodologies, processes, and results to enable knowledge sharing across the team
• Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence to continuously improve our technological capabilities

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• 2-4 years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Programming skills in Python with demonstrated knowledge of good coding practices
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets in cloud environments
• Knowledge of data processing technologies for handling real-time streaming data
• Understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Nice to Haves

• Master's degree in computer science / data science
• Programming skills in C#/ Java
• Experience developing high-scale applications
• Back-end coding / API development experience
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar)
• Experience in the media, entertainment, or streaming industry
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Compensation

$125,000 - $145,000
