Skills
- Proven troubleshooting and debugging of complex Windows systems
- Proficiency with WinDbg in both user-mode and kernel-mode
- Experience using Windows Performance Analyzer to find performance bottlenecks
- Strong C++ development skills and ability to produce high-quality code
- Experience with or strong desire to learn Rust
- Knowledge of Windows NT internals and kernel concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and triage customer issues using logs, crash dumps, and diagnostic data to identify root causes and drive resolutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer support, sales, product management, and engineering to resolve issues and improve product quality
- Develop and maintain kernel-mode and user-mode code that interfaces with components, transforms messages, and calls Web APIs
- Profile and optimize code performance using Windows Performance Analyzer and other profiling tools
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests; follow coding standards and architectural guidelines
- Document troubleshooting steps, fixes, and knowledge base articles to support customers and internal teams
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Relevant continuing education or certifications in systems, security, or Windows internals are a plus
