Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets, complete sign-in, verify appointment details, and provide a welcoming reception experience
- Support clinical flow by escorting clients to exam rooms and relaying information between clients and medical staff
- Answer incoming calls for appointments, prescription refills, and care questions; make outbound reminder and follow-up calls
- Process payments, manage invoicing, and schedule future appointments accurately
- Communicate clearly using veterinary terminology about vaccines, lab tests, and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and client-ready reception area and assist with occasional pet-related clean-up
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous veterinary or medical front-desk experience preferred
- Additional coursework or certification in veterinary assisting or medical office administration is a plus
